There are many ways to get involved and help survivors of domestic violence. To truly end this epidemic, we need everyone to join the movement. Thank you for taking a step to learn how you can make a difference. We are thrilled to have you as our partner in this work. Below are some ways you can get involved.
Make a Donation
New Beginnings relies on the generous contributions of people like you, businesses, clubs, churches, and foundations to sustain our work. Make a gift today!
Volunteer
Volunteers are integral to New Beginnings’ work. Whether by coming in regularly or one-time with a group of friends or coworkers, volunteers make a difference by answering the Helpline, co-facilitating support groups, providing child care, gardening, painting, helping at our events, or offering administrative help. Host a Drive
You can help survivors as they transition into a new, abuse-free life. Whether it’s household goods, toiletries or other basics, we have lots of opportunities for you and your coworkers, faith group, neighborhood, family, or friends to help provide survivors with the things they need. Check out our wish list and how you can organize a drive today.
Create Your Own Event
People love getting together, especially when it’s for a good cause. You can turn a regular get together, like a book club meeting or a summer BBQ, into a fundraiser for New Beginnings or organize a special event to support survivors, such as a concert or art show. We’ve put together some FAQs and a Toolkit for you to get started today.
Attend An Event
New Beginnings has two special event fundraisers each year, our Ignite Cocktail Party and the Empower Benefit Luncheon. We also host community conversations to learn more about domestic violence and what we can all do to support the survivors in our lives. Check out our Calendar of Events!
Raise Awareness
One of the best ways we can end domestic violence is to talk about it. Silence allows domestic violence to thrive. The more we all know about this issue and how to support survivors, the closer we will get to our goal. We have many resources you can start using today!
Trainings & Workshops
You can request a training or attend a workshop on domestic violence to learn how to better support survivors. Whether you’re in the medical field, HR, social service, or at a company and want to make sure your managers and employees know the warning signs of abuse, we can come offer training customized to your group.
