On Friday, November 20th, Vian Hunter hosted an opening party and fashion show from 6 - 9 p.m.
Vian Hunter designs and sells modern women's clothing that is inspired by the 1950's and 1960's. Designer Lisa Hunter primarily uses european fabrics and silks, however, the line is designed and manufactured locally.

Emerald City Trapeze Arts is presenting BEDLAM: A night in a circus asylum this Friday and Saturday, October 30 and 31 at their South Seattle location, 2702 6th Ave S.
Performances include:
Aerial insanity by the Aerialistas.
Special Guest Cory "Schizo" Tabino.
Flying Trapeze, Chinese Pole, Aerial Bungee, and the disturbing ChickenRoot SproutFoot.
Live music by the Corespondents
Doors open at 8 p.m. Tickets are $26 for show and party, and free soft drinks and goodies.
An additional $17 gets you a flying trapeze lesson in safety lines beginning at 7 PM.
Costumes are encouraged!

Bellevue based Report Footwear hosted a Sample Sale on Saturday, June 20th, with 100% of the net proceeds going to New Beginnings.
This event raised over $2,700! Thank you to everyone who came to shop for shoes and support New Beginnings!

On Saturday, March 21st Realize Your Radiance was held. This day of workshops for women raised $500 for New Beginings!

The Green Bean, a Coffee House located at 210 N 85th St. in Seattle, had New Beginnings' information on display for the month of February. Thank you to the Green Bean for selecting us and all the people who donated or signed up to volunteer! The Green Bean donated over $600 to New Beginnings!
KEXP 90.3 FM/kexp.org, a public radio station in Seattle, promoted New Beginnings during October in honor of Domestic Violence Awareness month. KEXP also hosted a benefit concert on November 1 at the Sunset Tavern in Ballard.

On October 5th, 2008 200 people took Steps against Domestic Violence around Seattle’s Greenlake. The beautiful sunny weather was enjoyed by all participants. This walk was held in memory of Marisa Peach who was murdered by her fiancé in 2007.
The event raised over $7,000 dollars for New Beginnings.
We want to thank Arthur Peach, who organized the event to honor his sister, and the many people who supported Arthur’s vision to create Steps against Domestic Violence in Seattle.
On August 28, New Beginnings and DAWN conducted an in-game auction at the Seattle Storm game against the Houston Comets. With items generously donated by Lauren Jackson and the Storm, we were able to raise over $3000! Lauren couldn't join us since she was in Austrailia having ankle surgery, but we wish her a speedy recovery. Our thanks go out to Lauren's Manager Susie Jarosh, Billy Rogers of the Storm and all the generous fans who support us!
